S A Y F Consulting offers affordable Live scan Fingerprinting in the Chicagoland area. We are an approved live scan fingerprint vendor by the Illinois State Police. We capture your fingerprints by utilizing the most advanced live scan technology. As an added benefit, S A Y F Consulting will provide offsite fingerprint services for groups of 6 or more.
There are two methods used for capturing fingerprints, live scan and ink. Live Scan is an inkless, electronic means of capturing fingerprints in a digitized format and then transmitting them to a state repository such as the Illinois State Police Bureau of Identification, and/or the FBI. Electronic live scan fingerprinting services are for individuals applying for Illinois licensing, and Illinois State Uniform Conviction Information Act (UCIA). UCIA background checks are for individuals or employers requesting a person's criminal history from the State of Illinois. The background results are mailed directly to the requesting agency or individual by the Illinois State Police.
Ink fingerprinting on an 8"x8" standard fingerprint record card (FD-258) accepted by law enforcement agencies, across the country. These cards are used for
employee applications by schools, banks, hospitals, security agencies, immigration services, etc.
